ARMENIAN DEPUTIES WILL NOT TAKE PART IN NATO SEMINAR IN BAKU DUE TO ABSENCE OF SECURITY GUARANTEES

Armenian representatives will not take part in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly seminar beginning today, as Baku cannot guarantee their security, Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Security, Defense and Internal Affairs of the Armenian Parliament M. Shahgeldian stated today. Along with A. Karapetian - another deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia - he was to represent the Armenian party at the seminar. Azerbaijan not allowing Armenia's participation in a NATO exercise in Baku this year, the incident with the Bulgarian journalist of Armenian origin the other day, the murder of an Armenian officer by Azeri serviceman R. Safarov during NATO courses in Budapest and other cases underlie the apprehension.
