14-TH ANM CONGRESS TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN
Contrary to the expectations of the ex-President's supporters the 14-th congress of the Armenian National Movement (ANM), the former Armenian ruling party, turned out to be "very ordinary", Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper writes. A group of former activists of the party including former parliament speaker B. Ararktsian, vice-speaker Ara Sahakian and ANM chairman A. Arzumanian were absent from the forum. Though ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosian attended the congress, he did not appear at the rostrum. The journalists also noted the presence of France's Ambassador to Armenia Henry Cuny. Nothing except standard critics addressed to the leadership, which can be heard at the conference of any opposition party, was heard during the congress.
However the congress participants were not so kind as to give the critic evaluation to the period they were in power.
