August 12 celebrates International Youth Day

PanARMENIAN.Net - The United Nations’ (UN) International Youth Day will be celebrated on August 12 to recognize efforts of the world’s youth in enhancing global society. It also aims to promote ways to engage them in becoming more actively involved in making positive contributions to their communities, The News International reported.

This year the theme for International Youth Day is ‘Building a Better World: Partnering with Youth.’ The international awareness day organized by the UN is a global call to action for young people, as well as other stakeholders to develop and engage in partnerships with and for youth, towards building a better future. “To unleash the power of young people, we need to partner with them,” explains the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
