In the words of Shavarsh Kocharian, an opposition deputy of the Armenian Parliament and member of the Armenian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Armenia has no allies in the PACE and to succeed it has to be guided by European principles and follow the way of building democracy. As Sh. Kocharian stated at a press conference in Pakagits Club, in his opinion, Russia pursues a balanced policy towards the parties to the conflict and cannot be considered as Armenia's ally within the PACE framework. At the same time just like oil is Azerbaijan's main resource, in the deputy's opinion that of Armenia should lie in democracy. He also emphasized that PACE Armenian delegation members representing the opposition and supporting the authorities acted jointly and in harmony. According to Sh. Kocharian, one should not expect anything from the person of the PACE Rapporteur on Karabakh, but analyze the Armenia's foreign policy mistakes, which have led to today's situation. The deputy said in his opinion the country foreign policy should be revised.
