NO SINGLE POLITICAL FORCE IN ARMENIA OR DIASPORA QUESTIONS GEORGIA'S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY
No single Armenian political force either in Armenia or in Diaspora questions the territorial integrity of Georgia, Secretary of the National Security Council under the RA President, Defense Minister Serge Sargsian stated in his online interview with Yerkir weekly. According to him, the incumbent Armenian leadership by no means views the issue of Javakhk as the one connected with Georgia's territorial integrity. The matter only concerns the cultural autonomy of Javakhk. During the epochal for Georgia years Armenia has proved her interest in the territorial integrity of the friendly neighbor state. We have many times stated that stability in Georgia is of utmost importance for Armenia, he said. When touching upon the possibility of US's sorting out relations with Iran by force, Serge Sargsian noted, "we hope no military operations will be launched and new tensions will not occur in the immediate vicinity of Armenia". In his words, such developments would be very dangerous for Armenia, since any tension or all the more military operations can act as a detonator. "We hope for improvement of the US-Iranian relationships and for peaceful resolution of all the problems", the Minister added.
