EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS DID NOT ANSWER TO AAE CLAIM
The Assembly of the Armenians of Europe (headquarters in Marseilles) claimed the European Court of Human Rights to adopt a resolution on impossibility of Turkey's EU membership without Armenian Genocide recognition. According to the AAE the European Union should insist on Turkey's recognition of the Genocide as the European Parliament has already adopted an analogous document. However the decree of the panel of judges notes that the Europarliament's resolution of 1987 bears a political nature and in the legal field reference to the given resolution is impossible.
