As Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan stated during parliamentary discussions on stripping Oskanian of deputy immunity over Civilitas money laundering case, the ex-FM has appropriated over $1 million which are currently allocated on his personal account. Also, Hovsepyan said, it has been proven that Oskanian used $181 thous. for private purpose, as shown by witness accounts and the Foundations’ financial reports for 2010-2012. Earlier, Huntsman Building Products company transferred $1, 427 mln to Oskanian’s personal account to be spent on Civilitas Foundation’s needs. According to the Foundation’s representatives, $710 thous. have already been transferred to Civilitas, while the rest of the sum has remained on Oskanian’s account, in accordance with the donors’ instructions.
