ARMENIANS OF NOVOROSSIYSK AFRAID TO SEND THEIR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL
The events taken place on March 22 in the Russian town of Novorossiysk can be described as a pogrom in one of the town districts, coordinator of the national communities of Novorossiysk Alla Partsikian, Yerkramas newspaper reports. She confirmed that that the conflict was caused by the incident that took place on March 21 evening, when a Cossacks came up to a group of Armenians and Greeks, who were celebrating a birthday. A fight started. As result the ataman was injured and taken to hospital. On March 22 evening a number of Cossacks from the Krasnodar region gathered in Novorossiysk and committed outrages - damaged cars, shop windows and beat several people. A criminal case had been initiated.
