PanARMENIAN.Net - Chris Hemsworth may end up sharing screen with Bruce Willis in his next action film. Words are, the "Thor" actor has been offered to tackle the lead role in "American Assassin", a big screen take on Vince Flynn's acclaimed novel series, AceShowbiz said.

Deadline reports that the "Red Dawn" star is offered a $10 million paycheck to take the part of Mitch Rapp, a former Syracuse grad student who joins the CIA after his girlfriend is killed by a terrorist attack. Willis is also in talks to play Rapp's mentor in CIA.

"American Assassin" will be shepherded by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, who directed Showtime's "Homeland" and Don Cheadle's 2008 thriller "Traitor". The script draft is penned by Mike Finch, while the producing duty is handled by Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

The novel-adapted movie is projected to kick off the production in Montreal sometime in the fall of 2013. Should Willis join the project, it will mark his reunion with di Bonaventura after they worked together in 2010's "Red".

He's currently filming "Thor: The Dark World" and will next be seen in Steven Spielberg's "Robopocalypse" opposite Anne Hathaway.
