Armenia is for rapprochement with Turkey without any preconditions, Secretary of the National Security Council at the President of Armenia, Defense Minister Serge Sargsian stated. However, in his words, this does not mean Turkey should not recognize the fact of the Armenian Genocide in 1915. "Turkey should recognize the Armenian Genocide without fail, as good neighborly relations can be build via repentance," Serge Sargsian accentuated.
