Expert: Turkey lacks resources to act against Iran

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey possesses neither political, nor economic resources to act against Iran, Armenian political expert said.

Sergey Shakaryants ruled out the possibility of a war, despite the tense relations between the two countries.

“Iran has repeatedly threatened Turkey,” the expert said, noting Iran’s pledge to coordinate decisions with Russia and China in regional issues as the latest threat.

“That is noting but an evident threat against Turkey,” Mr. Shakaryants said, adding that both Iran and Russia take proper measures to stave off Turkey’s possible revolutionary tricks.

He further stressed the need for Armenia to become an independent actor in Iran-Russia-Turkey “game”.
