Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk to host World Rapid Chess Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk will host 2013 World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship.

According to Vasily Filipenko, the President of Yugra team, Khanty-Mansiysk is planned to host several high level competitions by 2016. Along with the above mentioned tournament, the town has expressed readiness to host one of 2014 Women's Grand Prix stages, as well as 2016 youth chess championships, chess-news.ru reported.

Grandmasters Elina Danielian and Lilit Mkrtchyan will represent Armenia at the championships.
