MEMORIAL TO ARMENIAN GENOCIDE VICTIMS ESTABLISHED IN SAKHALIN

PanARMENIAN.Net - April 24 a new Memorial was opened in the territory of the Resurrection Cathedral of the city of Sakhalin, reported the Yerkramas, the newspaper of Armenians of Russia. The Khachkar - a granite slab in the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in Turkey in 1915 - is established on the initiative of Armenians, who live in Sakhalin and is their commemoration tribute. Hundreds of representatives of the Armenian Diaspora came to the opening ceremony. Sakhalin and Kuril bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church Daniil consecrated the cross.
