3rd World University Weightlifting Championships kicked off in Israel’s Eilat city.

Armenia’s Smbat Margaryan (56 kg) lifted 100 kg in the snatch and 131 kg in the jerk to win the bronze on November 6. Moldova’s Igor Bour showed a total of 258 kg result to win the championship gold.

Vanik Avetisyan (69 kg) will represent Armenia today, November 7.
