Heritage leader short of funds for presidential campaign - paperNovember 8, 2012 - 14:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Hrapaprak daily, Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian is short of funds for his presidential campaign. To solve the problem, Hovannisian called on his supporters to contribute money to his campaign – an innovative approach in Armenia. As the party’s spokesman Hovsep Khurshudyan told the daily, “the new culture should become widespread in Armenia, with the country’s citizens to contribute to formation of new leadership.” However, the paper said, the new culture may fail to gain popularity for lack of contributions. When asked to comment on the above, Heritage spokesman said that the initiative hasn’t been launched yet; however, the party is determined to fulfill the plan. According to some sources, financial issues were behind the party’s discord with Free Democrats, the daily said.
