Samsung Galaxy S4 rumored to have quad-core chip, 13MP camera

PanARMENIAN.Net - The latest rumors about Samsung's hotly-anticipated Galaxy S4 smartphone suggest that it will have a more powerful quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera, Digital Spy said.

Previous speculation has said that the S4 will come fitted with a Samsung-made 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, larger than the 4.8-inch screen in the current Galaxy S3 flagship.

SlashGear has said that the S4 will sport Samsung's Exynos 5450 chipset with a powerful Cortex A15 quad-core processor.

The Android phone may also come with a whopping 13-megapixel camera, although the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was rumoured to have the same quality of camera, but in the end arrived with an 8MP sensor.

The exact launch window for the Galaxy S4 remains unclear, with some reports suggesting that it will arrive at the CES 2013 trade show in Las Vegas in January.

Slashgear says that Samsung may instead unveil the device at Mobile Word Congress in February.

But Samsung has previously said that rumours of a February launch date for the S4 are "not true".

For the Galaxy S3, the Korean firm staged a dedicated launch event in London attended by the world's media, similarly to Apple's blockbuster unveilings of new devices. It may look to replicate this approach for the S4.
