Turkey accuses Iran of supporting Kurdish rebels

Tehran is supporting the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), Turkey’s Interior Minister İdris Naim Şahin stated, according to Hurriyet Daily News.

"We are quite aware of Iran’s support for the PKK,” the minister told state broadcaster TRT. “We know that PKK members who are wounded during clashes with the Turkish army are treated in Iranian hospitals."

Syria, Iraq and Armenia are also on the list of suspected PKK supporters, according to Şahin, who is well-known for his nationalist leanings.
