OPPOSITION TO FILE SUIT AGAINST ALIYEV IN CONSTITUTIONAL COURTFebruary 24, 2003 - 18:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The center for coordination of opposition forces of Azerbaijan has resolved to appeal to the Constitutional Court "on breaches of the country laws by state head Heydar Aliyev." Chairman of the People Front of Azerbaijan Ali Kerimov said after a recent sitting of the center. In his words, the center intends to demand that the Constitutional Court clarify a number of issues, specifically, why the returns of the presidential elections in 1988 and the parliamentary elections in 2000 are not made public yet, why Heydar Aliyev combines office of the leader of the state and a party, to which extent his desire to propose himself as a presidential contender for the second term is legal, etc.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
