James Cameron working on “Avatar” sequelsDecember 3, 2012 - 17:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - James Cameron has revealed that he might be ready to shoot the Avatar sequels next year, Belfast Telegraph reported. The filmmaker is planning two follow-ups to the hit 2009 movie, the highest-grossing film of all time, and it has been reported that Avatar 2 will not be ready until 2015. Cameron has now updated fans, saying he hopes to have the scripts completed by February so that filming can begin by the end of 2013, according to reports. The Oscar winner spilled the beans to The West Australian at the New Zealand premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, saying: "I want to get these scripts nailed down, I don't want to be writing the movie in post production. "We kind of did that on the first picture, I ended up cutting out a lot of scenes and so on and I don't want to do that again." Cameron said he was in New Zealand working on the scripts for the sequels, but joked that the area is so beautiful that it was "too damn distracting". Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver are both expected to reprise their roles in Avatar 2.
