“Hanna” star Saoirse Ronan to headline Disney’s “Cinderella”? December 3, 2012 - 21:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Saoirse Ronan is set to be screen-tested for the role of Cinderella in a new movie. The Lovely Bones actress is on the shortlist for the part in Disney's live-action remake of the classic fairytale alongside Swedish actress Alicia Vikander and British actress Gabriella Wilde, Belfast Telegraph reported citing Variety. The trio will soon try out for the coveted part for director Mark Romanek. The actress who lands the part might find herself sharing the screen with Cate Blanchett, who is said to be in negotiations to play the evil stepmother in the movie. Produced by X Men's Simon Kinberg, the untitled Cinderella film is based on a script by About A Boy director Chris Weitz.
