BRITISH AIRWAYS DOUBLED NUMBER OF YEREVAN-LONDON FLIGHTS
The British Airways will double the number of Yerevan-London passenger flights, Yerevan Sales Office director Simon Avagian stated. In his words, the move that will allow meeting the needs of the passenger air transportation market is an important event for any air company. As noted by Avagian, Airbus А320 and А321 will execute passenger flights every day, except Wednesday, which will make 6 flights a week instead of the former 3. Answering the question whether the British Airways is ready to cooperate with other air companies, Avagian noted that a number of factors should be available to that end. Firstly, in his words, the possible companies should have qualities commensurable with the British Airways activities - from the planes themselves to the crew security standards. At that he noted there is no need in cooperation yet. As noted by Avagian, as compared with the past year, the number of passengers, who preferred the British Airways in 2005 has increased 15-20%. Answering a question whether the air company was going to make the ticket prices more available, like the Lufthansa, he noted that Lufthansa has just entered the Armenian market and is interested in attracting a large number of clients. As of the British Airways, the ticket prices fluctuate depending on the season and other factors.
