Casey Affleck to star in, produce “Boston Strangler” serial killer flick

PanARMENIAN.Net - Casey Affleck has joined the Boston Strangler project.

The actor will executive produce and likely star in the film based on the infamous Boston serial killings, Digital Sky reported citing Deadline.

Warner Bros has acquired the Boston Strangler pitch based on the killing of 13 women in the early 1960s.

Written by Storming Las Vegas scribe Chuck MacLean, the movie centers around an ambitious detective caught up in the conspiracy over the conviction of the supposed murderer.

Albert DeSalvo confessed to the murders, but was convicted for an entirely unrelated crime, a fact that was concealed from the public for years. Some believe the true killer was never brought to justice.

Affleck will next be seen in Ain't Them Bodies Saints and Out of the Furnace.
