Artsakh President, OSCE official discuss situation at contact lineDecember 15, 2012 - 18:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan met December 15 with Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk. The current situation along the line of contact between NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces were in the focus of the discussion, Central Information Department at the Artsakh President's Office reported. Bulgarian and Polish Foreign Ministers urged the parties to Karabakh conflict to refrain from escalating tensions. Nikolay Mladenov and Radosław Sikorski made the statement during a joint December 14 news conference with their Armenian and Swedish counterparts, Edward Nalbandian and Carl Bildt. Mr. Mladlenov slammed recent tensions at the line of contact, stressing the importance of efforts aimed at peaceful settlement of the conflict. He further voiced expectations for decrease of tensions following Baku and Yerevan-hosted talks. Commenting on OSCE Minsk Group’s proposals, he expressed hope for specific results, urging conflicting parties to refrain from actions or statements capable of exacerbating the situation.
