"Vikings" saga promo promises "a storm" (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - The History Channel is taking its inspiration from "A Game of Thrones" in the first promo for its new scripted drama, "Viking", TheWrap said.

The promo promises "the storm is coming," echoing the "Game of Thrones" tagline, "Winter is coming."

Not only that, but both shows will have guys in fur running through woods and snow to fight. In the short preview, the Vikings are seen wielding battle axes as they charge toward each other, ready to strike.

Described as a family saga, the violent drama will follow the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok - a real-life Viking hero who became a legend in medieval European literature after his death.

The first of nine "Vikings" episodes premieres on Sunday, March 3.
