It was previously rumoured that the Twilight actress had been chosen to return to the production over director Rupert Sanders, with whom she had an affair during the first movie. However, it has yet to be confirmed whether Sanders has been dropped from the series. Speaking to Indie Wire, Stewart said of playing the title character again: "Oh, it's gonna be amazing. No, I'm so excited about it, it's crazy." Asked what fans could expect to see in the second Snow White film, Stewart insisted that she was "not allowed" to discuss any details. The original film, which also starred Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, was released in May this year. Stewart, who has patched up her relationship with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, previously said that she was sorry for making people angry over the affair scandal, which overshadowed the movie's release.
