Quake strikes Iran, tremors felt in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit Iran’s county of Tasuj in East Azarbaijan province Sunday, Dec 23. The Seismological center of East Azarbaijan province affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 10:09 am local time (0639 GMT), according to Fars Nnews agency.

The tremors were also felt in the Armenian towns of Kapan and Jermuk.
