Heritage leader deems incumbent president his main rival

PanARMENIAN.Net - An electoral revolution must be staged in Armenia on Feb 18, enabling citizens to overturn the ruling system, Heritage party leader, presidential candidate Raffi Hovannissian said.

He called on the citizens of Armenia, political party members and activists to participate in the elections.

Mr. Hovannissian stressed the need to remove the symbols of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) from the buildings of schools, universities and offices to prevent rigged elections.

He called on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to either settle the conflict of interests or withdraw candidacy.

“Active struggle will lead to the first ever de jure public victory,” the presidential candidate said, deeming incumbent president his main rival.
