Economy Ministry expects 9,2% industry growth in 2013

Armenia posted a 10% industry growth in 2012, with 9,2% increase expected in 2013, the country’s Economy Minister said.

As Tigran Davtyan noted at Industry Development Foundation board sitting, for the first time in the history of Armenia’s independence, production volume exceeded AMD 1 trillion in 2012.

“Our goal is to increase the GDP share of industry output to 20-21%,” the Minister said. As he stressed, industry development will allow keeping balance in the country’s economy and boost exports.
