ARMENIAN-RUSSIAN RELATIONS SHOULD FOCUS ON ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SUPPOSES

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian-Russian relations should focus on development of the economy. Armenian president Robert Kocharian said in an interview to "ITAR-TASS" agency. In his words, the first steps in that direction were made several years ago, and mechanisms for developing these ties were being worked out recently. "We clearly understand it now, that a large underused potential is available here and a prospect of actual development is present in that respect," - R.Kocharian said. Let us remind that within the economic cooperation between the countries December 2002 the Armenian parliament ratified agreement on conveying shares of 5 Armenian enterprises to pay off the state debt of Armenia to Russia at the rate of $93 million.
