REPORT ON KERIMLI'S INTERVIEW TO ARMENIAN TV COMPANY - RECURRENT CANARD OF AZERI MEDIA
As PanARMENIAN.Net reporter came to know from Yerkir Armenian TV company, leader of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Ali Kerimli did not give any interview to the company. On August 5 evening the TV company addressed Ali Kerimli to comment on the detainment of leader of the Azerbaijani youth movement "Yeni Fikir" Ruslan Bashirli suspected of collaboration with the Armenian secret service. However, the PFPA leader refrained from any comments. On the same evening Real Azerbaijan newspaper published information stating that Ali Kerimli did render an interview to the Armenian TV Company. The authors of the article considered it to be the "evidence of PFPA's interaction with the Armenian secret service." To remind, according to the information provided by Office of Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Republic, on August 3 member of "Yeni Fikir" opposition youth organization Osman Alimuradov informed the Prosecutor General's Office of his visit to Georgia together with the Chairman of the movement Ruslan Beshirli on behalf of Ali Kerimli, and told about their meeting with Merabi Gibutia, represented himself as a member of Georgian democratic forces, also with Georgi Isprian and a man called himself Vardan, both of whom were workers of Armenian secret service.
The PFPA members deny all the accusations and say it was a provocation. To note, the report said in part that "Bashirli met with Ispirian, who promised the him support in launching "color revolution" in Azerbaijan. Ispirian also promised to provide the opposition with compromise on the Azeri authorities and gave Bashirli $2000 adding that the assistance will be systematic." The Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan called the international community to attend to the fate of the Yeni Fikir activists and protect Ruslan Bashirli.
