AZERBAIJAN AMONG COUNTRIES OPPRESSING CHRISTIANS
"Open Doors" international organization advocating rights of Christians throughout the globe has published a list of countries, where Christianity is persecuted in various ways. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, Azerbaijan is the 15-th on the list. North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam occupy the top positions. The publication notes the regimes of these three states are especially notable for cruel oppression of Christians. Laos, Turkmenistan, Somalia, Iran, China, Qatar, Nigeria, Cuba, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, as well as some regions of Russia (Chechnya, Deghestan) are also on the list.
