Armenia posts 11,3% tourist inflow increase in 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia posted a tourist inflow of 843 330 people in 2012, up 11,3% from 2011 results, Deputy Economy Minister said.

As Ara Petrosyan told a February 6 news conference in Yerevan, "to compare, worldwide tourist inflow in 2012 totaled 4%. At this rate, Armenia can exceed an inflow of 1 million within 1 to 2 years."

The majority of tourists are arriving from Europe (Germany, France), Russia, U.S. and Japan, with the visits geography expanding to include Brazilian, Scandinavian and Uruguayan tourists.
