CEC to discuss candidate Harutyunyan’s application

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian presidential hopeful Aram Harutyunyan filed an application to the Central Election Commission (CEC), announcing a decision to withdraw candidacy.

In conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, CEC spokesman Hermine Harutyunyan said the CEC will discuss the candidate’s application at Feb 8 special meeting

Mr Harutyunyan went on 1-day hunger strike on Feb 7, urging the rest of the candidates to withdraw candidacy, leaving the incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan alone in the race.
