"Hugo" star Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin in "Iron Man 3" new poster

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ben Kingsley's got some swagger as the Mandarin in "Iron Man 3." A new poster for Marvel's highly-anticipated sequel features the first long look at Kingsley as Iron Man's arch-nemesis and he's surprisingly hip, TheWrap said.

Sitting back, relaxing and acting all cool, Kingsley dons a green robe covering a military outfit, which is all complimented by a slick pair of shades -- and ten deadly rings on his fingers.

The Mandarin -- a Marvel comics character created by Stan Lee in 1964 -- is a master of martial arts and science, who has harnessed the power of alien rings. In the movie, he is described as a terrorist who is out to prove that there is no such thing as heroes.

"Some people call me a terrorist," the Mandarin says in a trailer for the film. "I consider myself a teacher. Lesson number one: Heroes, there is no such thing."

To make his point, he wipes out the Malibu mansion Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) calls home, destroying the entire Iron Man armory in the process. According to the synopsis, the Mandarin's going to find out that the iron suit does not necessarily make the iron man and Stark still has plenty of fight left in him.

Shane Black's "Iron Man 3," which co-stars Guy Pearce, Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow and James Badge Dale, hits theaters on May 3.
