During my visit 5 month ago I tried to negotiate another bout in Armenia with local authorities, yet was refused any assistance,” the boxer said. Darchinyan confessed to having refused an offer to represent Australia so that he could fight under an Armenian flag. “I’m very disappointed. I wanted to promote boxing in Armenia for the youth to have a chance to train and achieve success. But when your efforts go unappreciated, there’s no point in undertaking any new initiative,” the boxer said.
