AZERBAIJAN TRIES ITS CITIZENS WORKING FOR RUSSIAN INTELLIGENCE
February 14 the court board on grave crimes of Azerbaijan will begin consideration of materials of the criminal action brought against three Azeri citizens accused of parricide. The accusing materials appeared at the disposal of "Commercant" Russian newspaper point out that Seyar Akhundov, Sergey Namazov and Mubariz Akhundov were recruited by the intelligence bodies of the Red Banner Caspian flotilla in early 80-s. As noted by the article, they were gathering information in particular referring to the arms and combat capacity of the Azeri army, routes of the pipelines being prepared for construction, availability of Chechen and Afghan fighters in Azerbaijan, wounded Chechens receiving medical care in Baku hospitals.
