"Walking Dead" creator developing exorcism series

PanARMENIAN.Net - Break out the holy water: "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman is moving on from zombies to exorcisms, TheWrap said.

Kirkman is developing an exorcism series with "Walking Dead" distributor Fox International Channels, based on Kirkman's upcoming comic-book series based in the world of exorcism.

The series will follow a young man, Kyle Barnes, who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a spiritual journey to find answers. But what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.

Kirkman is executive producing with "Walking Dead" executive producer David Alpert.

FIC executive vice president of global scripted programming Sharon Tal Yguado said that the new series will be "a reinvention" of the exorcism genre.

The fourth season of "The Walking Dead" begins production of its fourth season in May, with new showrunner Scott Gimple replacing Glen Mazzara. The 16-episode season will premiere in October.
