The public opinion poll conducted by Gallup International Association revealed that 60% of 1066 surveyed Yerevan residents see Taron Margaryan as Yerevan mayor, head of the organization’s Yerevan office Aram Navasardyan said.

According to poll, 17% of the respondents said they see Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan as next mayor, with 3% of the citizens voicing readiness to elect former mayor Karen Karapetyan, and only 1% - Armen Rustamyan, Armen Martirosyan, Gurgen Arsenyan and Raffi Hovannisian.

“6% of the respondents provided no answer to the question, 4% voiced reluctance to elect any of those listed, with 5% willing to elect another mayor,” Mr Navasardyan said.

The poll was conducted on March 9-11.
