Armenian President Robert Kocharian today met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Daniel Fried, reported the Press Service of the Armenian leader. The interlocutors discussed regional issues and possible developments. Touching upon the Armenian-American cooperation, the parties appreciated the current level of bilateral relations. R. Kocharian and D. Fried also discussed the outcomes of the session of the US-Armenia Economic Task Force (USATF) and matters referring to the coming visit of S. Sargsyan to the US. The parties also discussed matters referring to constitutional amendments in Armenia. The Armenian leader informed the guests on the process of their implementation. The amendments proposed will form new opportunities for democratic development of Armenia, he remarked. The meeting participants also discussed the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process.
