Baghdassaryan: Political and Economic Development Opens Wide Prospects for Armenia
Today Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Artur Baghdassaryan met with the delegation of the Board of Trustees of the Armenian Assembly of America, reported the Press Service of the National Assembly of Armenia. At the instance of the guests, the Armenian Speaker informed them on the process of reforms in Armenia, specifically constitutional ones that were appreciated by international organizations, the current economic development record, Armenia's European integration process. For the first time the budget revenue exceeded 1 billion drams in the draft submitted to the Parliament, he remarked. The AAA delegates asked Baghdassaryan many questions, including those on collection of taxes, tourism development policy, control over criminal situation, independence of the judicial system and other issues. A. Baghdassaryan thanked the delegates for their efforts to assist Armenia. Having noted they remain Armenians in their hearts, he highlighted that political and economic development opened wide prospects before Armenia and consistent work is necessary to that end.
