Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian’s supporters were against the initiative, warning against the provocations the march might spark and the public split it might cause. They even said the march might hamper Hovannisian’s “inauguration.” However, Mr Zakaryan noted the initiative as a complement to the rallies organized in Liberty Square. “People will take to the streets to express their discontent with the election results and the current situation, with the format of the protest action to be announced later,” he told a press conference. Former presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan, in turn, called on all those concerned about the country’s future to attend the founding meeting of the movement, scheduled for April 12.
