Parliament break-in culprit taken to psychiatric hospital

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian citizen Vrezh Galstyan, who attempted to enter the parliament building armed with a knife, has been taken to Nubarashen psychiatric hospital, special investigation service told PanARMENIAN.Net

On March 22, Galstyan, armed with a knife, made an attempt to enter the parliament building. The security officers warned him against entering; however he continued his way forcing the police to open fire. As a result, Galstyan was wounded when trying to escape. Parliament health service employee was the first to offer him medical assistance. Galstyan was later taken to Yerevan’s N 1 hospital.

On March 25, the court ruled for a preliminary 2-month detention, with Galstyan to be taken to Nubarashen jail.
