Georgian president Eduard Shevardnadze and Azeri leader Heydar Aliyev will discuss the opportunity of participation of the Azeri military in peacekeeping operations in Abkhazia. Commenting on the statement of the Azeri ambassador that Azerbaijan was ready to participate in peacekeeping in Abkhazia, as reported by "Arminfo" agency, Eduard Shevardnadze noted that Azerbaijan was highly interested in settling the Abkhazian conflict, which is in part conditioned by the special relations between the two countries. At the same time the Georgian president emphasized that one should not make decisions favorable for Georgia but which would be perceived negatively by Azerbaijan.
