Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to ditch plastic casing - reportApril 15, 2013 - 17:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 will reportedly omit the plastic casing associated with the firm's high-end devices, Digital Spy said. The Korean tech giant is "worried" about the level of competition it is up against from aluminium-bodied handsets such as the HTC One, according to SamMobile. The website's source claims that Samsung will ditch the design guidelines followed for the Galaxy S4 smartphone and use metal casing for the hybrid device. Samsung is rumoured to have built a prototype model of the Galaxy S4 with a metal body, which was well received internally, only for time constraints to prevent mass production. The Galaxy Note 3 was recently tipped to serve as the launch vehicle for Samsung's S Orb camera technology, which lets users capture 360-degree imagery and share it via Facebook.
