Directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the reboot of the classic Western stars Armie Hammer ("The Social Network") as John Reid, the lawman behind the black mask, while Johnny Depp plays his trusty Native American sidekick, Tonto. The final theatrical trailer focuses on Reid's death before he is resurrected and his crime-fighting alter-ego, the Lone Ranger, is born. Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter also star in the big budget adaptation, which follows Tonto recounting untold tales that transformed Reid into a legend of justice.
