Gomtsyan: Over 90% of Armenian Citizens will Support Constitutional Reform in Rostov
Four polling stations are opened in the south of Russia for Armenian citizens, who are on the territory of Russia on a permanent or temporary basis, to take part in the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the republic of Armenia. According to Consul General of Armenia in Rostov-on-Don Ararat Gomtsyan two polling stations function in Rostov-on-Don, one in Volgograd and another one in Sochi, reported the Yerkramas, the newspaper of Armenians of south of Russia.

Over 3000 Armenian citizens (82%) out of the Consulate list of 4000 people have voted in two polling stations in Rostov-on-Don as of 4:00 p.m. Armenian citizens, who live in Rostov Region cities and rural areas, as well as Stavropol Territory and Kuban districts close to the Don arrived to take part in the referendum in Rostov-on-Don. In Ararat Gomtsyan's opinion, over 90% of the vote participants will support the amendments, as Armenian citizens in Russia hope to get Russian citizenship without losing that of Armenia. It should be noted that one of the amendments to the Constitution repeals the ban of dual citizenship, which is in effect at present.
