Armenian Parliamentary Delegation to Visit Brazil in February 2006

PanARMENIAN.Net - November 24 President of the Latin American Parliament Ney Lopes de Souza met with Consul General of Armenia in San Paulo Ashot Yeghiazaryan, RA MFA press service reported. During the meeting the Latin American Parliament President briefed the Consul on the structure of the parliament, which unites 22 states of the region, and touched upon the works carried out within the framework of the agreement concluded between the Latin American Parliament and the CIS Parliamentary Assembly. Ashot Yeghiazaryan conveyed RA National Assembly's Chairman Artur Baghdassrayan's greeting to Ney Lopes de Souza. He also noted that the Armenian parliament is interested in establishing business ties with the legislative structures of the region, including the Latin American parliament. Ashot Yeghiazaryan familiarized the interlocutor with the activities of the Armenian legislative body and its cooperation with the relative European structures as well as touched upon the referendum on the constitutional amendments. Mr. Ney Lopes de Souza stressed that the upcoming visit to Brazil will offer a new possibility for cooperation. By his invitation Ashot Yeghiazaryan took part in the 21st sitting of the Latin American Parliament.
