NATO to Establish Office in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - NATO Office headed by Yerevan representative of the North Atlantic Alliance will be established in Yerevan, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Gegham Gharibjanian told journalists. In his words, it proceeds from the agreement on NATO Action Officer in Armenia, which was recognized as corresponding to the RA Constitution. According to him, with ratifying the agreement Armenia engages to provide an office for the Officer, issue a mandate and furnish him with variable information taking into account the NATO programs implemented in Armenia. At that he informed that NATO South Caucasus Liaison Officer Romualdas Razuks will be appointed NATO Action Officer in Armenia and the neighbor states. The agreement on the Action Officer in Armenia was signed on May 11, 2005.
