EU Commissioner Stated of Possible Progress in Karabakh Settlement in Near Future
"In the near future we will be able to witness progress in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process," Benita Ferrero-Waldner, EU Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy stated when addressing the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers in Ljubljana. When commending on the other unsettled conflicts in the South Caucasus the EU Commissioner voiced hope that "Georgia's peaceful program and the Russian-Georgian agreements on fulfilling the Istanbul commitments will secure the progress of conflict settlement processes in the South Ossetia and Abkhazia." She also noted that the European Commission intends to sign Action Plans with Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan within the European Neighborhood Policy, reported Mediamax.
