“Twilight” helmer David Slade to direct “The Widow” thriller

PanARMENIAN.Net - David Slade has come aboard to direct The Widow for Vendome Pictures, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Penned by Ray Wright, the psychological thriller centers on a young woman who befriends a lonely widow only to discover that their encounter was not a coincidence.

Slade, whose feature credits include The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is the executive producer on NBC's midseason hit Hannibal. He's directed multiple episodes, as well as the pilot, with his work drawing rave reviews. Spade's breakthrough movie was Hard Candy in 2006, followed by the vampire genre pic 30 Days of Night.
